What to include when reporting a correction or technical issue
- For a mathematical or archival citation correction: Please include the exact page URL, the equation, table row, or statutory date in question, and the primary reference source (such as NARA
36 CFR § 1236.50, Library of Congress FADGI 2023 guidelines, US Census Bureau decennial enumerator instructions, or the 1750 British Calendar Act) so we can verify and update the page promptly under our corrections policy. - For an interactive calculator or browser canvas issue: Let us know which device, operating system, and browser you are using (for example, Safari on iPadOS, Chrome on Windows 11, or Firefox on macOS), which tool tab was active (Photo & Slide Digitization Planner or Tombstone, Census & Kinship Calculator), and the exact input numbers or preset that triggered the issue.
- For new format or historical record requests: If your family archive includes a less common film gauge (such as 127 rollfilm, 16mm subminiature, Pathé 9.5mm home movies, or stereo-view cards) or a non-decennial state census schedule, tell us the physical frame dimensions in millimeters or the statutory enumeration date so we can consider adding it to our dataset.
- Privacy & conservation reminder: Please do not email us raw autosomal DNA data files, living relatives’ private vital records, or unredacted personal documents. All photo histogram analyses, EXIF scrubs, and genealogy calculations on HeirloomMath are engineered to run 100% locally inside your own web browser.
